Hi and hello - welcome to herprettybravesoul

I’m so happy you found my website! My name is Chantal, I am 27 years old (and I still can’t believe that). I am the owner and founder of herprettybravesoul.

Initially, herprettybravesoul was a simple blog where I wrote about whatever was on my mind. Usually, it contained blog posts about mental health. At the same time, I created herprettybravesoul to dive in into the world of virtual assistants/entrepreneurship, since one of my biggest goals is to leave behind the 9-5 corporate job world while living my best life doing whats best for me and doing what I love doing the most, like creating beautiful lightroom presets, instagram feed designs or spending hours on lightroom editing beautiful pictures.

I have found that I have always been drawn to creative things. But at the same time I thought that I would be better off in an office job. To be honest, I don’t even know who I was trying to kid here, because deep inside I always knew that this wasn’t where I’d belong in the long run.

My passion for photography began in 2008 when I went on my first big adventure. At the age of 16 I got my first camera - which feels like it was just yesterday, when in fact it has already been 10 - going on 11 years. I got a simple Canon IXUS 180 because I had the opportunity to go to the USA as an exchange student to spend a year at a high school in Oklahoma. (Side note: Whoever says that Oklahoma is pretty lame and boring, well, you are wrong. I think it is a very beautiful state that has a lot to offer. Especially when it comes to its scenery!) Up to this day I am still very grateful for the opportunity that my parents made come true back then.

As I kept photographing, because I wanted to capture as many moments as possible, I realized that I really enjoyed doing that and that my pictures didn’t turn out so bad.

Then I came back to Germany and life happened. I stopped taking pictures, not realizing that my hobby was fading away.

I am not gonna lie when I say that only around August 2018 is when I picked back up a camera to go out and take pictures again because a friend - who is a fashion blogger - asked me to take pictures of her. That is when I realized that I can also do portrait/lifestyle photography, whereas ten years ago I only photographed nature, landscapes and in macro mode haha.

Oh and before I forget, here are some of the things I love: Traveling, saving money while making great deals, diet coke, chocolate, when women support women, a group of people where we lift each other up instead of knocking each other down, photography, being creative e.g. putting together moodboards - spending hours on lightroom editing beautiful pictures, kindness, spending time with my grandma, the ocean, and pizza. Not necessarily in that order, however. Sometimes I like chocolate the most. I can’t help it!

My mission

My mission with herprettybravesoul is to lift some weight off of your shoulders so that you can focus on the main tasks in your business. Just like you, I am self-employed as well, which means I can fully understand how stressful and overwhelming your own business can be. Especially when you have to do everything by yourself. It's a lot you have to take care of and suddenly the freedom that you originally wanted to have, you can't have. Make your life easier by bringing me - your creative virtual assistant - on board.

But not just that. My mission is to create a place where we lift each other up instead of knocking each other down because I believe that we are stronger together. I want herprettybravesoul to become the type of community where people with genuinely good intentions come together . A place where we can benefit from each others knowledges but also a place where you can come for comfort when you feel like no one around you understands what it means to run their own business or if you feel like you need someone to talk to but you can’t really talk with your friends and family about whatever is on your mind.

All in all - I just want this to be a happy place where kind and fun people come together, work together and maybe even become genuine friends in the long run, hang out and have a good time.

Let’s work together, grow together and have some fun!

Can I count you in?

Have a lovely day -Chantal
